MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented entry level
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Technician to join our team working in the
Washington D.C. Navy Yard. This will be a
hybrid position where the employee must be in office at least
1 time per week.
The computer-aided design (CAD) Technician in this position will assist in the development and maintenance of the Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 2 to support system installations and upgrades on United States Aircraft Carriers and Amphibious ship platforms.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Under the supervision of a senior engineer, utilize CAD software to develop ICDs showing the interfaces between various components of the combat system on US Navy ships.
- Review existing ICDs and related drawings and provide comments on drawing accuracy.
- Interface with various Navy customers to obtain technical information needed to assist in ICD development and updating.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Must possess some demonstratable experience using 2D CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Edge, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity/experience with Navy combat systems
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo software
- Knowledge/experience with 3D CAD software
Clearance Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current or active United States Government Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
