As a Hiring Our Heroes Strategy Fellow at KPMG, you'll have the chance to gain experience in our Strategy practice. This will give you a unique opportunity to work alongside our leaders and learn how KPMG helps our clients overcome complex challenges.
The Hiring Our Heroes Corporate fellowship program offers transitioning military members a 12-week fellowship while they remain employed by the Military. During this time, Fellows will engage in a learning experience crafted by KPMG that prepares them for a career outside of the military. Fellows will gain first-hand experience designed to help them determine if a corporate career is the right choice for them. Upon completing the 12-week fellowship, there may be opportunities for Fellows to be considered for a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
- Manage project plan development, performance reporting and tracking, and communication
- Direct client communication, including status reporting, risk reporting and mitigation, scheduling, and staffing and conduct business analysis, assess processes and procedures, evaluate system-based and manual controls, facilitate outcomes-based team meetings and workshops to achieve team and client goals
- Evaluate risks related to requirements management, business process definition, testing processes, internal controls, project communications, training, and organizational change management
- Coordinate team action items and tasks to maintain on-time project schedule
- Establish standards by which deliverables will be developed, understand the process used to create the deliverables, and develop deliverables against established standards

Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of recent experience as a project manager within state and local government context; State Government services experience preferred; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferably in public policy, or business, or management information systems
- Demonstrated experience with project management, business analysis, technology and/or policy transformations
- Knowledge of standard project management methodologies; Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master beneficial
- Ability to work onsite at client premises approximately eighty percent of the time
Fellowship program candidates who are selected will receive their standard salary as noted in the fellowship guidelines. KPMG provides no compensation for this fellowship.
