San Antonio - Texas - United States of America
About The Role
We are seeking a PMO Analyst to design, build, and maintain a PJM PMO Reporting Dashboard in Power BI as the single source of truth for all PJM data and updates. You will integrate and model data from Kahua, Excel, Smartsheet, and related systems to produce trusted, executive‑ready portfolio and project insights—supporting monthly PMO cycles, executive‑level portfolio reviews, client‑facing reporting, audit responses, and process improvement initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with the PMO Director and cross‑functional partners to standardize metrics, improve data quality, and drive adoption of PMO tools and processes.
This person must be able to work onsite in San Antonio, TX.
What You’ll Do
Portfolio Reporting & Analytics
- Design & own the PJM PMO Power BI dashboard that unifies data from Kahua, Excel, Smartsheet, Tableau, Vantage (and other enterprise systems) into a cohesive, refreshable model.
- Build and maintain semantic models (Power Query/M, DAX, dataflows) supporting executive reports, client‑facing views, and portfolio health.
- Establish governance for data definitions, metric standards, lineage, and refresh cadence across PMO datasets.
- Create drill‑through pages for project health, cost vs. budget, change orders, milestones, risks/issues, action items, and forecast accuracy.
- Enable row‑level security (RLS) and appropriate access controls for internal and client audiences.
PMO Operations & Collaboration
- Partner with the PMO Director on monthly PMO reporting cycles, executive portfolio reviews, audit responses, quality checks, and process improvements.
- Facilitate enterprise portfolio dashboards and cross‑functional KPI development with Finance, IT, Engineering, and Operations.
- Maintain and improve tools, templates, and systems used by all PJMs; lead standards training and enablement sessions.
- Consolidate resource capacity planning data, integrating headcount, allocations, and demand signals into portfolio views.
- Coordinate change management (communications, training, adoption KPIs) for new reports, templates, and processes.
Data & Systems Integration
- Connect to Kahua (project controls/capital projects), Smartsheet (plans, risk logs), Excel (interim trackers), SharePoint/OneDrive, and other enterprise sources.
- Implement refresh pipelines (Power BI Service) with robust validation and audit trails.
- Create data quality checks and exception reporting; drive remediation with data owners.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years in PMO/Portfolio Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Project Controls reporting (client‑facing or executive reporting preferred).
- Power BI expert: Advanced DAX, Power Query (M), modeling/star schemas, dataflows, RLS, bookmarks, drill‑through, metrics (Scorecards), and Power BI Service administration fundamentals.
- Proven systems integration experience with Kahua (or similar project controls/capital program platforms), Capital Planner, Smartsheet, Excel, SharePoint/OneDrive.
- Strong KPI design for portfolio health: schedule, cost, scope, risk, change, benefits, resource capacity/utilization, forecast accuracy.
- Solid understanding of PMO processes: intake, prioritization, gating, financial tracking, risks, change control, and audit readiness.
- Advanced Excel (Power Query, Pivot, complex formulas) and Smartsheet (formulas, reports, control center preferred).
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kahua data structures (budgets, commitments, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals) and API/exports.
- Familiarity with resource capacity planning tools/processes (kill inventories, demand vs. supply modeling).
- Knowledge of data governance practices (definitions, stewardship, lineage).
