Job Summary:
The person will be a key member of Cat Digital’s Global Marketing & Brand organization, driving the next generation of data-driven marketing at Caterpillar. This role will focus heavily on marketing data insights, analytics, and reporting to support marketing strategies in close partnership with Enterprise Marketing and Cat.com Strategy & Digital Product teams.
The successful candidate will combine advanced data analysis skills with deep business acumen to transform complex Marketing & Digital Behavioral datasets such as GA4/Big Query, Paid Media, Social into actionable insights that improve business decision making, Cat.com strategy & performance. This position requires a technically sound analyst who can learn the business & marketing data flows quickly and tell data stories through compelling visualization & reporting solutions that align with data quality and reporting standards.
What You Will Do:
Partner with Enterprise Marketing and Digital Product teams to translate complex business questions into clear analytical frameworks and scalable data solutions that support cat.com strategy and performance.
Transform large, multi-source datasets (Digital Behavioral, Marketing, Transactional, and Master Data) into actionable insights that uncover user behavior patterns, trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
Lead deep-dive analyses of cat.com data to identify how users engage, convert, and move through digital experiences — and translate findings into compelling narratives that drive business decisions.
Design and deliver executive-ready dashboards and reporting (Tableau or Power BI) that go beyond metrics to tell a cohesive story about performance, user behavior, and optimization opportunities.
Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred) to ensure accurate, scalable, and timely insights.
Support the integration of business unit data into centralized marketing and digital reporting environments to enable a unified view of customer and web performance.
Establish and uphold standards for data quality, metric definitions, and reporting consistency across digital properties.
Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to incorporate advanced analytics, automation, and AI-driven capabilities that enhance KPIs and decision intelligence.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).
Considerations For Top Candidates:
Previous experience with Web & App Analytics
Familiarity with Salesforce CRMi Platform & Objects
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform Products
Familiarity with Paid Media Platforms
Familiarity with Python Data Analysis and Science Libraries
Business Data Analysis & Visualization: Highly skilled in using SQL, Cloud Data Services (Big Query, GA4, Snowflake), Data Visualization Platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio), Python, Office365. Familiarity with Data Science and AI solutions.
Research Analysis: Knowledge of concepts, methodologies and methods of research analysis: ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy, ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Digital project management skills and familiarity with Agile development and supporting platforms (Azure DevOps, Adobe Workfront).
Effective Communications: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external business partners including senior leaders. Excellent human relations skills to develop a collaborative environment with leadership and key stakeholders.
Business Assessment: Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis.

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
