Description:You will be the Project Manager (Level 5) for the Construction Management team. Our team is responsible for overseeing and executing facility construction activities—including renovations, expansions, and new builds—at the Grand Prairie, TX MFC site.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Project Manager (Level 5) you will be responsible for guiding projects from concept through final completion while ensuring schedule, cost, and quality targets are met.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead design development, procurement, and contractor selection, including bid walk‑throughs and evaluation.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating access and resources across all stakeholders.
- Manage contract performance, financials, and capital‑asset accounting, ensuring accurate invoicing and cost control.
- Conduct periodic and final inspections to verify code compliance, quality standards, and user acceptance.
- Resolve conflicts and problems quickly, securing customer satisfaction and on‑time delivery.

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, construction management or similar discipline and 8+ years of project management experience in commercial construction project/program management or equivalent experience/combined education with 15 years total professional project management experience.
• Understanding of laboratory, factory/manufacturing/assembly, and office space requirements.
• Proven project management skills and strong organizational and time management skills including ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Desired Skills:• Twenty years experience with in commercial construction management in manufacturing, lab and office environments.
• Large facility construction project and design experience.
• Understanding Equipment commissioning.
• Proficient in MS office software programs including PowerPoint excel word outlook and project.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and maintaining outline milestone and detailed schedules.
• Demonstrated ability to write effective statements of work.
• Experience facilitating utility service provider design and installation.
• Experience in preparation of design and construction cost estimates.
• Lien law compliance.
• Prepare and maintain project status and cost reports.
• Dispute resolution with suppliers.
• Effective change management.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and including the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, management and diverse populations.
• Track record of successful budget control and execution of projects in the 100s of millions of dollars including contract and supplier procurement process of solicitation for proposal, evaluation of proposals, labor and material cost breakdown analysis, purchase order preparation, invoicing and contract closeout.
• Experience in management of Architectural and Engineering Firms during the design phase

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
