Work You’ll Do
Align global effective tax rate reduction and efficient global cash utilization with overall business strategy. Help multinational clients integrate tax planning into their overall business strategy and comply with both U.S. and international regulatory requirements. Advising clients on various international tax issues including E&P analysis, PTEP analysis, subpart F, and distributions out of controlled foreign corporations. Reviewing work papers, filings and other deliverables prepared by junior team members. Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations. Coordinate U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy. Mentor and coach junior team members. Will commute within the Boston, MA area to consult with clients concerning the above job duties.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, law, business administration or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 18 months of experience as a Tax Senior or related occupation gaining experience performing tax planning, reporting and compliance for U.S. multinational corporations.
Experience must include 18 months of:
- Preparing international tax compliance forms and informational returns, including Forms 1120F, 5471, 5472, 8865 and 8858 disclosures and statements, and Schedule K-1/K-3;
- analyzing work papers to calculate interest expense allocation and effectively connected income (ECI) to estimate the U.S. income tax liability of foreign corporations;
- performing passive foreign investment company (PFIC) and controlled foreign corporation (CFC) analysis and testing to determine appropriate filing requirements and U.S. federal income tax consequences; reviewing client data to identify contributions to foreign corporations and comply with Form 926 requirements;
- mentoring and coaching junior staff by providing ongoing guidance, delivering constructive feedback, facilitating skill development, and supporting their integration into project teams to enhance overall team performance and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented work environment;
- utilizing CCH and BNA to research various U.S. federal income tax issues and analyze tax rules and regulations of foreign jurisdictions;
- managing the end-to-end e-filing process within GoSystem Tax RS, including validation, troubleshooting, and submission of returns;
- conducting research on tax implications and analyze tax rules and regulations to ensure compliance requirements are met for U.S. and foreign multinational companies;
- analyzing fund of funds structure and Schedule K-1 and K-3 reporting requirements to support reporting requirements for upper fund; and
- coordinate and filed tax extension requests for clients, ensuring timely submission and compliance with federal regulations.
Less than 10% domestic travel outside of normal commuting distance.
