What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney’s GTF Engine Center (West Palm Beach, FL) team is searching for a Senior Manager (M5) to lead governance of supplier performance responsible for part-repair and supplying component inventory needed to support monthly engine overhaul schedules. This is a critical leadership role responsible for operational risk control and vendor accountability, with regular exposure to site and senior leadership.
You will be responsible for optimizing and strengthening the operating model across externally repaired hardware. This includes ensuring repair milestone discipline, quote and engineering approval velocity, return-to-service predictability, and ER purchase order accuracy -directly aligned to build stability, inventory integrity, and monthly financial objectives.
The person in this role will work regularly with Operations Management, Materials Management, Production Control, Quality, Finance, and Engineering. Success requires structured governance, disciplined follow-through, and the ability to translate performance signals into clear operational insight and corrective action.

Key Responsibilities:

External Repair Execution Governance
-
Own end-to-end visibility of external repair flow (release through return-to-service).
-
Track repair milestone adherence, queue health, backlog aging, and turnaround time performance.

Ensure external repair execution aligns with validated monthly build schedules.
-
Identify and escalate hardware at risk of missing need-by dates.
-
Eliminate unmanaged aging and drive predictable return timelines.

Vendor Performance & Risk Accountability
-
Define and monitor KPIs including TAT, on-time delivery, approval cycle time, and backlog health.
-
Address vendor performance gaps through structured corrective action plans.
-
Lead quarterly business reviews and formal performance governance forums.
-
Serve as primary escalation owner for external repair execution issues.
-
Conduct vendor risk assessments and manage high-risk or single-source exposures.
-
Maintain structured escalation tracking with measurable remediation milestones.

Rotable Inventory Management & SV Cost Performance
-
Own rotable population strategy to ensure repaired material solutions reliably support engine planning and monthly build schedules.
-
Proactively manage rotable availability as a recovery lever when external repairs do not return on time, preventing material-driven work stops and directly protecting shop visit TAT.

Drive disciplined repair, salvage, and alternate recovery decisions to right-size rotable inventory, reduce SV cost exposure, and minimize unnecessary swaps or reactive expediting activity.

Financial & Inventory Control Alignment

Ensure ER PO accuracy and timely updates to support inventory integrity and monthly financial objectives.

Maintain vendor master data to ensure reporting accuracy, financial alignment, and audit compliance.

Partner with Materials, Warehouse & Logistics, and Finance to resolve PO discrepancies and streamline execution processes.

Provide structured visibility into external exposure and its impact on inventory and financial performance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Advanced Degree and 7+ years of experience in Operations, Materials Management, Supplier Performance Management or Supply Chain within Manufacturing, Military or Aerospace industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree or equivalent Technical Training (A&P/AMT) and 12+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or specialized Military training and 14+ years of relevant industry experience.

2+ years of personnel management experience, ideally within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.

1+ years of experience managing third-party or outsourced repair environments.

Strong analytical capability and experience with database tools such as SAP, Excel, and other reporting tools.
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
Degree in STEM fields ideally in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or Engineering.

Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience or regulated manufacturing environment.

Familiar with MRO repair stations or machine shop operations, equipment, materials, quality standards and turbine-engine-related components
-
Ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals.

Inventory Management experience (i.e. min/max, reorder points, and safety stock quantities).
-
Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and supply chain roadblocks.
-
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma).

Ability to use Technology, Programs and Data to optimize business operations, drive accountability and increase supplier performance.
-
Experience leading organizational transformation, project management and scaling operations during rapid growth.

Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel, customers and suppliers.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
