Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will be part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, with strong focus on Manufacturing Systems and Digital Transformation. This role is responsible for investigating, defining, and driving solutions that simplify processes and increase efficiency across manufacturing systems.
You wll own the Manufacturing Systems Roadmap, working closely with support areas, IT, corporate teams, and key suppliers to ensure alignment with business strategy and global standards.
The position plays a critical role in innovation, Industry 4.0 initiatives, automation projects, and the integration of new digital solutions across manufacturing operations.
This is a highly cross-functional role, ideal for someone who can connect business needs, technology, and manufacturing processes, influencing decisions and enabling transformation.
What you will do:
- Support the Manufacturing Systems roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy and corporate IT guidelines.
- Investigate, evaluate, and propose new manufacturing systems and digital solutions focused on simplification, efficiency, and scalability
- Actively support digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives, including data-driven manufacturing, IoT, and smart factory concepts
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, logistics, automation, IT, tech center, and CoE teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Support innovation projects across multiple areas, especially regarding new systems, platforms, and integrations.
- Work closely with automation projects led by other engineering teams, ensuring systems readiness and interoperability
- Translate business and manufacturing challenges into practical, technology-driven solutions
- Engage with key suppliers and technology partners to explore emerging solutions and best practices
- Ensure compliance with corporate architecture, data, cybersecurity, and governance standards
- Lead automation projects related to Manufacturing Engineering areas
What you will have:
Collaborative Automation: Knowledge of techniques and processes of collaborative automation; ability to develop and deploy cobots to automate manufacturing processes.
Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
Robotic Process Automation (RPA): Knowledge of techniques and processes of robotic process automation (RPA); ability to develop and deploy RPA solutions in various industries.
Basic requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Active professional engineering license (CREA)
- Intermediate English
Top candidates will also have:
- Pre-Advanced English
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems and/or data architecture
- Experience with manufacturing process automation
- Knowledge of programming languages
