About E&ES:
Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions (E&ES) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

Job Summary:
As an NPI Team Leader within E+ES, you’ll drive complex, industry-altering programs from Launch to completion. You’ll lead cross-functional teams including engineering, commercial, supply chain, and manufacturing through concept definition to fully productionized customer solutions. Your ability to organize teams, leverage talent, and identify and eliminate risk through a multi-stage development cycle will be put on full display.
What You Will Do:
Leading teams to address program level issues/action logs, risk registers, scope change requests/logs, program work plans, program cost tracking and provide workshop planning, execution and follow-up as needed.
Working with engineering, validation, customer support, purchasing, commercial teams, L5 (application) teams, manufacturing & supply chain to develop their detailed activities and schedule.
Closely tracking program R&D budgets, aligning spend via regular touchpoints with product teams, revising as necessary as program changes dictate, ensuring forecasts accurately reflect stated program deliverables.
Developing and refining processes in the project intake and governance space, ensuring consistency and priority alignment for project onboarding.
Working with program team members to manage project schedules, support program control meetings & compression sessions to meet project deliverables.
Working with project team members to resolve logic errors, explaining changes due to updates, and recommending actions to resolve schedule problems.
Effectively communicating program risks and status to stakeholders at senior leadership level.
What You Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Working knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Quality Management: Basic understanding and knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
Effective Communications: Extensive experience and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Problem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Program Management: Working knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives.
New Product Introduction experience (leadership capacity or team member)
What Will Set You Apart:
Working knowledge of current industry state-of-the-art technologies in the power electronics and motors spaces.
Willingness and proficiency for operating in ambiguity, where not all boundaries are fully defined, and flexibility is necessary in achieving a common goal.
Previous experience driving complex, multi-functional programs from concept to completion.
Working knowledge of RBM (rolling business model) planning.

This position is located in Mossville, IL and domestic relocation is provided

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
