Reports to: General Supervisor
Shift: 5x2, Monday-Friday
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Relocation: This role is eligible for relocation
Key Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy underground mining equipment and components in a shop environment
- Disassemble and repair mechanical and hydraulic components
- Work safely and follow all shop and company procedures
- Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to keep workflow efficient
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications/Requirements
- Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification required. Applicants holding a valid Truck and Coach Technician certification, with demonstrated experience working on heavy mining equipment, will be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Able to safety life 50lbs unassisted
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is required
- Exposure to mechanical component rebuilds is required
- Previous experience in hydraulic rock drilling equipment and hydraulic drifters is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
