Description:You will be the **Material Processor / Material Handler** for the **Optical Component Center (OCC)**. Our team is responsible for ensuring seamless material flow and supporting high‑precision optical‑subassembly production.
**What You Will Be Doing**
As the Material Processor / Material Handler you will be responsible for coordinating material movement, tooling, and documentation to keep the OCC lines running efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Investigate production delays, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist lower‑graded Production‑Control personnel with critical issues and engineering changes.
- Enter, schedule, and manage Production‑Control data and issue standard tools to authorized staff.
- Perform raw‑material and consumable cycle counts and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Maintain a tidy, audit‑ready work floor and conduct monthly shelf‑life sweeps.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:Strong computer skills (Windows application with an emphasis on Excel).
Strong organizational and tracking skills. Ability to read and understand technical based bill of materials.
Ability to lift and move manufactured assemblies parts and materials to and from various locations within the manufacturing facility.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Must have the ability to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in accordance with the collective Bargaining Agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.

Expertise in providing status to others in a complex/ fluid environment.
Ability to work with others in a team environment and at the same time be comfortable working alone on special tasks.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
