Hours: Full-Time – 36.50

To aid in maintaining this leadership position, we have established the Strategy & Planning team within the Strategic Procurement & Planning Division (SPPD) where we can best leverage this advantage.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support Enterprise-wide Category procurement teams by deploying the next generation Source to Contract process covering topics from RFQ initiation through preferring a supplier: designing processes to then develop and deploy a technology solution
Collaborate with purchasing verticals and leadership to implement the next generation Strategic Sourcing process and integrate with our digital team to provide permanent desktop tools to support new standard work
Represent the next generation direct procurement solution by becoming the primary PROcure Sourcing SME within your region
Develop processes or solutions to ensure local requirements are satisfied in partnership with global process owners; Gather input, identify gaps, prioritize activities, and develop & implement solutions.
Lead change management activities in-region by creating, editing, and delivering in person & virtual sessions, and recording training videos
Initiate and deliver ongoing process improvements and answer user questions
Degree Requirement
Degree in a Business-related subject, or equivalent experience.
Skills, experience & qualifications you will have:
Several years of practical experience serving in supply chain, procurement or closely aligned product or engineering roles that contribute to a strong understanding of supply chain or procurement.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and drive alignment with peers and vertical purchasing organizations
Project Management experience and ownership.
Detail oriented; Able to understand and help others understand intricate processes
Top candidates will have:
Purchasing experience with specific Caterpillar procurement systems or tools (LOGNET, Mach1, CBS, CICT/PCM, etc.) and processes (RFI, RFQ)
Experience with supplier interactions
Experience presenting to a large audience; creating and delivering training material
A passion for details and documentation combined with the ability to collaborate globally
Self-motivated and passionate about driving change
