What does this role look like?
This position will lead multiple contract change proposals and support future milestone contract proposals for the D5LE2 program. Works with the Proposal Program Manager on strategy, customer collaboration, and deliverables across active assigned proposals. Responsible for tactical integration and quality of all proposal activities leading up to submittal. Will lead and work directly with Integrated Product Teams and counterparts in other LE2 organizations to include LE2 PMO, Contracts, Estimating, Subcontracts and Strategic Planning, to ensure proposal inputs are timely and reviewed for quality (BOEs, Non-Labor and Material inputs). Prepares and delivers recurring status and metrics reporting on proposal activity to Program leadership and Navy Partners. This role will drive proposal accuracy and ensure credible justifications, supplier assessments, and consistency across LE2 artifacts.
In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:
• Lead a team in development of a high profile proposal
• Contribute to new business trade studies
• Enhance cross discipline product development
• Participate in mentorship opportunities and professional development
• Be the proposal interface to FBM LE2 management and our Navy counterparts.
• Assist the Proposal Program Manager with program management responsibilities as required
• Will need to travel as required (~25%)
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, CO, and be expected to work in the office.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience in proposal response in one or more of the following: generating BOEs, Supplier SOWs, and ROMs,
• Exposure to the Engineering design lifecycle (SRR, PDR, CDR) and creation of desired data products,
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
• Strong organizational skills,
• Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience,
• Experience in Government RFP response,
• Contracts or project engineering/CAM experience leading engineering team(s),
• Experience in areas of cost analysis, schedule, and risk & opportunity management,
• Knowledge of FAR and Cost/Pricing Data requirements,
• Experience and desire to brief senior LM and Government leaders,
• Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action,
• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process,
• Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
