This role is focused on ensuring that our strategic suppliers deliver the right parts, at the right quality, at the right time to enable on-time delivery of GE Aerospace’s next generation of products. In this role, you will be embedded with cross-functional teams (Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, and Engineering) to secure supply continuity, recover shortages, and drive sustainable improvements in supplier performance. You will manage supplier relationships, assess and report manufacturing capacity and readiness, gain visibility over sub-tier supplier performance and constraints and help suppliers influence their sub-tiers to resolve issues affecting their deliveries. You will also need to hold internal teammates accountable to action plans, using influence and interpersonal skills to achieve priorities across other departments. You will apply supply chain and manufacturing concepts to anticipate and resolve fulfillment risks before they impact our customers. Role Overview:
The Supplier Fulfillment Leader will be accountable for supply continuity, supplier delivery performance, and supporting broad company objectives on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. In this role you will contribute to fulfillment and sourcing strategy, drive FLIGHT DECK (GE Aerospace’s Lean operating system). culture, manage complex supplier delivery issues within your area(s) of expertise, and be involved in both short- and long-term planning to ensure on-time delivery of parts and assemblies.
- Provide clear leadership and direction to a portfolio of suppliers supporting key programs (including RISE and other next-generation engines), using sound supply chain principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
- Own supplier delivery performance (OTD, past due reduction, shortage recovery) for assigned suppliers and drive daily/weekly execution routines to protect production and customer deliveries.
- Provide consultation on capacity and manufacturing feasibility, including initial capacity assessments, lead time assumptions, and cost/risk predictions to aid in key strategic sourcing and fulfillment decisions.

- Assist materials planners and buyers in aligning purchase order requirements, schedules, and terms with supplier capability, lead times, and standard work.
- Work collaboratively with internal factories, global sites, and suppliers to formulate recovery and improvement plans that align with long-term business objectives.
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in fulfillment, program, and risk reviews, while communicating with program managers, sourcing leaders, and manufacturing sites to assure supply risk is understood and mitigated.
- Remain current in the state of the art within supply chain and fulfillment practices for new product introduction, rate changes, performance improvements, cost reductions, and problem resolution.
- Serve as a recognized resource in defining and deploying supplier performance management practices (metrics, dashboards, tiered meetings, escalation paths) to anticipate, develop, and apply best practices to current and future business opportunities.
- Partner with Design Boards, Manufacturing pyramids, and TRL/MRL owners to ensure supply readiness and industrialization plans are realistic and synchronized with supplier capabilities.
- Develop standard work for supplier recovery, expediting, and performance improvement (e.g., shortage management, capacity reviews, execution war rooms).
- Assure proper documentation of supply risks, actions, and technical/operational data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with sourcing and fulfillment policies and procedures.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and a FLIGHT DECK mentality within the fulfillment organization and across supplier interfaces.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
Lead supplier performance and recovery reviews; prioritize critical parts and provide clear actions, owners, and due dates to close shortages and past due.
Analyze and interpret supplier capacity vs. demand, identify bottlenecks, and drive mitigation plans (additional shifts, alternate lines, alternate sources, buffer strategies).
Run trade studies to inform make/buy, sourcing, lead time, and inventory strategies (e.g., safety stock vs. expediting risk, single vs. dual source decisions).
Translate delivery and capacity data into actionable purchase order changes, reschedules, and mitigation plans; support readiness for production ramps and NPI milestones.
Develop and deploy standard work and visual management for supplier performance (OTD tracking, shortage boards, tiered daily/weekly reviews) and contribute to continuous improvement plans with suppliers.
Collaborate with internal factories, logistics, and suppliers to optimize end-to-end flow, including transport, packaging, and premium freight decisions where required.
Support key program and customer commitments by providing accurate, timely fulfillment status, risk assessments, and recovery plans.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a seasoned supplier performance leader with strong supply chain and manufacturing expertise, who can own supplier delivery results end-to-end, drive capacity and shortage recovery actions, and translate complex fulfillment risks into clear, data-driven plans that protect Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline from an accredited University.
- Relevant supply chain or engineering experience
- Supplier delivery management, capacity planning, and shortage recovery
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supplier management and manufacturing, preferably in turbomachinery or similar complex assemblies.
- Strong aptitude in operations and manufacturing, ability to understand routing, capacity, lead times, and constraints across multiple processes.
- Experience with Aerospace manufacturing and quality systems, including familiarity with supplier qualification and surveillance processes.
- Working experience with GE Aerospace quality system and/or fulfillment processes is a plus.
- Strong influencing skills, including guiding suppliers and internal partners without a direct reporting relationship.
- Ability to execute new and unclear requirements and goals, operating effectively in dynamic, fast-changing environments.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and lead cross-functional teams to resolution.
- Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve issues appropriately with a sense of urgency.
