The Manager Accounting will have the opportunity to gain broad perspectives of Digital, Technology, & Distribution at Caterpillar, interacting with individuals across the company on financial consolidation and analysis insights. In addition, this role will have the opportunity to develop tools in a fast-paced and innovative global organization. This role will encourage development of leadership skills, utilizing excellent communication, presentation and financial analysis skills, as well as being a liaison with other groups throughout the enterprise. In addition, this role will be heavily involved in implementing strategic finance initiatives.
What You Will Do:
- Financial analysis and reporting including consolidation and communication of segment results
- Coordinate monthly results, quarterly business review (QBR), quarterly and annual forecasting, which includes explanation of results to the segment Group CFO & Group President.
- Liaison between Corporate Accounting as well as other segment CFO groups and the division business resource teams.
- Supporting and leading the team through the Global Finance Services Strategy by providing creative solutions that challenge traditional methods and processes.
Skills needed for success in role:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
- Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Judgment and Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

- This position is in our Irving, TX office
- This role is a full time, Requires 5 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range:
$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
