The Systems Reliability Engineering Intern for Enterprise Business Systems will support the design, development, and improvement of internal infrastructure capabilities and shared services used across the enterprise. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers and partners to implement features, improve reliability and maintainability, and help deliver thoughtful solutions that support scale and operational excellence.
If selected for this internship, you will report to an engineering leader within Enterprise Technology.
The dates of this internship are May/June 2026 through August/September 2026.
What You Will Do
Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new services used in enterprise platforms (cloud-based, networked, or internet-related).
Establish an AI proof of concept, scope to be determined in collaboration with SRE mentor.
Collaborate with teammates to clarify requirements, estimate work, and deliver iteratively.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Help improve non-functional aspects of the platform (performance, resiliency, monitoring hooks, maintainability) alongside feature work
Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical proficiency in at least one or more tools such as Python, Terraform, AWS
Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or Kanban methodologies
Experience with web application architecture
Understanding of software engineering practices
Understanding of networking and security
Understanding of operational best practices
Education
Currently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other STEM related field at an accredited college or university.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization

Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Fully available from Monday-Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
