Who we’re looking for
Toyota Corporate Tax Department is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Sales Tax Operations Sr. Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support tax operations by managing use tax accrual reviews, sales tax audit support, tax research, and operational tax queries.
Reporting to the Sales Tax Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance and operational excellence across Toyota Financial Services’ field offices and business units.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, your analytical skills and tax expertise will help maintain accurate tax compliance and support audit readiness, contributing to Toyota Financial Services’ strong financial integrity. Success means delivering timely, accurate tax data and insights that empower business units and support smooth tax operations.
Prepare reconciliations, data, and documentation to support sales tax audits and compliance efforts.
Conduct tax research to stay current with legislative changes and ensure compliance.
Perform operational tax queries and update monthly tax rates to maintain accurate tax calculations.
Provide operational tax support to TFS field offices, including Customer Service Centers, Dealer Funding Teams, and Dealer Sales and Service Offices.
Review and respond to Illinois RUT-25 tax compliance forms and perform use tax accrual reviews.
Assist with month-end tax accounting closing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with team members across departments to review and improve tax processes and operating procedures.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and recommend improvements to management.
Engage in cross-training initiatives to enhance team capability and contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, finance, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in sales tax operations, tax compliance, or financial services.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly.
Proven analytical skills, initiative, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
