Job summary:
- The Iron Technician IV provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components.
Additional Information:
- Starting Pay: $30.35/hr. Can be adjusted with experience.
- Will receive 2nd shift premium
- Schedule: Regular hours are 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM, currently working 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM. 10 days on with 4 days off
- Overtime based on business need
- Relocation is not available for this position

What you will do:
- Perform All Duties of an Iron Technician II
- Performs all the duties of an Iron Technician III or have relevant skills/experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Job preparation and completion
- Maintain flow of customer product through the shop
- Quality control of customer flow control product
- Proficient in customer relations
- When the manager/supervisor is not present, assigns duties to complete all necessary daily service center work
- Revises work assignments to meet production schedules priorities
- Explain service center procedures and specifications and demonstrates use of equipment and testing to new employees
- Assists workers in resolving technical problems
- Consults with technical personnel and managers/supervisors to report and resolve assembly and testing problems, and reports unresolved problems
- Obtains and distributes supplies, materials, and equipment such as components and parts used for work, assembly, test and inspection specifications. Test equipment, fixtures, and hand tools
- Reports on substandard equipment performance to supervisor or maintenance personnel
- Substitutes for absent workers and assists workers to alleviate work overload
- Understand all customer contractual requirements
- Consults with manager/supervisor and reviews service center schedules.
- Knowledge of Syteline: Transfer Orders, Receiving Order, Customer Estimates
- Performs other routine duties as requested
What you will have:
- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic
- Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment
- Experience with FC style and FLS style gate valves
Top Candidates will have:
- Ability to operate hand tools such as hammers, screw drivers, hydraulic torque wrenches and additional specialty tools – including micrometers
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Have a clean driving record, which generally means:
- No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.
- No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
Work Environment:
- Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
Summary Pay Range:
$30.35 - $40.65
