Position Summary:
The Parking Ambassador is a highly visible, customer-focused role responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting safe, efficient, and compliant parking operations. This position serves as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact, creating positive experiences through proactive assistance, clear communication, and respectful engagement with the public.
Pay: $22.00 an hour

Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide clear guidance on parking locations, rules, payment methods, and wayfinding
- Proactively approach customers to offer help and resolve questions before issues arise
- Monitor parking areas to encourage compliance through education and courteous interaction
- Handle customer concerns or complaints calmly, professionally, and with empathy
- De-escalate conflicts using strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Support special events, peak traffic periods, and high-volume locations
- Issue warnings or notices when necessary while maintaining a customer-first approach
- Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or suspicious activity promptly
- Use handheld devices or mobile applications to document interactions and complete reports
- Represent the organization positively at all times through appearance, attitude, and conduct
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service in a public-facing role
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain policies clearly and courteously
- Ability to remain professional, patient, and composed in challenging situations
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with mobile devices or handheld technology
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Preferred- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, parking operations, or community-facing roles
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages)
- Familiarity with local parking regulations or municipal ordinances
