Description of the Role:
Mercedes Benz & Porsche of Melbourne are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Parts Warehouse- Shipping and Receiving team member. This role will primarily involve managing the inventory of parts in our warehouses and ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming parts shipments and verify accuracy of orders.
- Inspect, label, and store parts in designated areas of the warehouses.
- Process outgoing shipments, including picking and packing of parts to customer order completion.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments using computer and bar code scanner systems.
- Perform periodic inventory counts and audits.
- Handle any returns, exchanges, or warranty claims related to parts.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred however is not required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both supervised and autonomous.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software are a plus.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted and stand for extended periods of time.
- Forklift and platform lift certified or capable of obtaining certification during the first 90 days of hire, employer training provided.
- Work availability Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm, daily. Possible Saturday expectation, with advance notice during special assignments.
