About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Developer & DevOps Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role. You will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud applications while ensuring smooth, automated CI/CD pipelines. You will leverage a broad range of technologies, including AWS, Terraform, Jfrog, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions ,Kyverno and more to enable fast, secure, and efficient development and operations. You will be working in a collaborative environment to implement solutions across both development and operations, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of our cloud-based services.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable applications and services using Java, Groovy, and Python.
- Automation & Scripting: Leverage Groovy and Python for writing automation scripts, orchestrating CI/CD pipelines (e.g., in Jenkins), and automating various development and operational tasks.
- Integration: Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and connect applications with various internal and third-party services and APIs.
- Testing & Debugging: Write unit and integration tests, debug complex software issues, and optimize application performance and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work within cross-functional, Agile/Scrum teams (including front-end developers, QA, DevOps, and product managers) to define requirements, review code, and deliver solutions.
- Database Management: Design, implement, and interact with various databases (SQL and NoSQL like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Adhere to software development best practices (e.g., TDD, continuous integration) and create and maintain technical documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Programming Languages:
- Proficiency in Java and its core principles, including object-oriented programming (OOP) and common frameworks like Spring or Hibernate.
- Expertise in Python with experience in web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and potentially data analysis libraries like NumPy or Pandas.
- Strong working knowledge of Groovy, especially for scripting, automation, and its seamless interoperability within the Java platform and frameworks like Grails.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
- Understanding of containerization and cloud platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive attitude and a desire for continuous learning of new technologies.
