As a Corporate FP&A Analyst supporting the Currency & Mix desk, you will play a close‑critical role in delivering accurate, timely, and enterprise‑aligned analysis of foreign exchange, and product mix impacts that directly influence Caterpillar’s reported financial performance. This role owns monthly and quarterly currency and mix analysis within the close, including Form M–based reconciliations, FX‑neutral and mix‑adjusted views, and clear attribution of performance versus prior periods, plans, and forecasts, while translating complex drivers into concise, executive‑ready insights for senior finance leadership. You will partner closely with Segment Finance, Business Units, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, and Global Finance Strategy to ensure consistent application of the Financial Analysis Manual and Accountable Methodology, support external reporting and quarterly earnings processes, and contribute to the implementation and ongoing refinement of currency and mix logic within OneStream Financial Analysis. Success in this role requires strong ownership, disciplined methodology, attention to detail, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast‑paced, highly visible environment with tight enterprise deadlines.
What You Will Do:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Own monthly and quarterly currency, and product mix analysis as part of the close‑critical FP&A process.
- Prepare and validate Form M reconciliations, including FX‑neutral and mix‑adjusted views, ensuring alignment with the Financial Analysis Manual.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and stabilization of OneStream Financial Analysis, with a focus on currency and mix logic, reconciliations, and controls.
- Deliver clear, accurate analysis explaining performance drivers for senior finance leadership.
- Support preparation of executive‑level monthly and quarterly business review materials.
- Partner with Segments and Business Units to ensure accurate inputs, timely submissions, and consistent methodology application.
- Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Treasury, and Global Finance Strategy on FX rates, exposures, and reporting impacts.
- Support external reporting and quarterly earnings processes through disciplined, audit‑ready analysis.
- Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.

- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience
What Will Set You Apart:
- FP&A Expertise: Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, including the ability to interpret complex financial data, develop insights, and support strategic decision‑making through accurate forecasting and analysis.
- Experience leveraging Hyperion, EssBase, SmartView, OneStream.

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $169,060.00
