Value Chain Designer
Role Definition
Designs and implements new process or updates to existing processes to improve end to end value chain performance. Develop a network value-stream model that depicts current state value chain network and may compare to alternate network configurations (future state) as well as identifying and correcting inaccuracies, inconsistent information within datasets. Professionals in this role help ensure end‑to‑end process of establishing, validating, and enabling suppliers with the procurement team.
Responsibilities & Skill Requirements
Process Management
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the selection of suppliers that offer competitive costs, strong performance, and high resilience for the product
- Identify new suppliers required for direct materials for NPI, NSI, and Prime Products, and determine the appropriate supplier category assignment based on business requirements
- Analyzing the inbound, value add and outbound value chains to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Developing business cases and capability studies, recommending improvements to stakeholders.
- Implementing new and enhanced processes and tools and governing changes through collaboration across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment.
- Identifying process inefficiencies and wastes of time, money, materials, and energy.
- Analyzes a process and associated business logic and offers recommendations based on analysis.
Analytical Thinking
- Strong attention to detail to identify errors and inconsistencies.
- Ability to analyze and identify duplicates, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies in datasets.
- Standardize formats, workflows and ensure data completeness and uniformity.
Problem solving
- Evaluate risks in supplier performance, capacity, quality, or financial stability.
- Develop mitigation plans such as dual sourcing, safety stock, or alternative supplier options
- Cost Analysis by applying total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Align diverse stakeholders to make decisions that benefit the entire value chain.
- Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.
Communication
- Report findings to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Work effectively with engineering, quality, logistics, and finance to solve complex problems.
- Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.
- Looks for and considers non-verbal cues from individuals and groups.
Degree Requirement
- Degree or equivalent experience desired
- Minimum of three years value chain or related experience
This position requires working onsite five days a week.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
