Overall Scope:
DFS Service Project Managers engage with direct customers to manage turnkey solutions of deployment, installation, and activation of products at customer locations. Service Project Managers ensure the overall success of a project, including the safe planning of resources, equipment, and budgeting projections of fuel service-related projects. They also ensure the project is executed with the highest standards of quality and consistently exceeds customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the entire scope of the project and deliverables and provide input to ensure a comprehensive project scope.
• Determine what a successful project looks like for each customer and deliver exceptional results, which can be measured at the end of a project.
• Create a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project and meet customer expectations.
• Develop subcontractor assignments for new projects in coordination with regional service managers.
• Obtain project bids as necessary from subcontractors.
• Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
• Review subcontractor invoices and approve for payment.
• Confirm site surveys are dispatched & completed in a timely manner.
• Develop and manage project budgets including weekly forecasting, and meeting project minimum margin requirements.
• Collaborate with Customer Solutions, Service Managers, Sales, Supply Chain, subcontractors, production, level three support, and key team members of the project team.
• Prepare and implement a communication plan that meets the client reporting requirements and keeps all personnel involved in the project informed.
• Enhance client relationship through proactive and positive communication, and by recognizing and delivering on client key issues and expectations.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
• High school diploma
• PMP Certification is strongly preferred
• At least 5 years of experience managing field deployment projects or in a project management role
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Excellent communication and record keeping skills
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams – Sharepoint and Smartsheet experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Oracle applications is strongly preferred
