Position Summary:
We’re seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support daily operations across a variety of campus facilities, including academic buildings, residence halls, and administrative offices. In this role, you’ll help maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment by performing light mechanical repairs, general upkeep, and routine maintenance tasks. Responsibilities
- Perform minor plumbing repairs and clear drains
- Replace ceiling tiles, lamps, air filters, and fire extinguishers
- Conduct touch-up painting in common areas and mechanical rooms
- Maintain and repair door hardware, blinds, and furniture
- Assist with general labor tasks such as organizing materials and cleaning equipment
- Report safety hazards and larger maintenance issues to the appropriate team
- Follow ABM and client safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Support seasonal and event-related maintenance needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in a facilities or office maintenance environment preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and basic hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and climb ladders
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Previous custodial experience is a plus
- Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed
