Job Description Summary
A Production Planner at the Technology Development Center plays a critical role in turning innovative ideas into real parts on the shop floor. This hands-on, highly visible role owns the release of work to the floor, aligning capacity, materials, and priorities to keep production moving smoothly.
As a strategic problem-solver, you will partner with cross-functional teams across the facility to optimize part flow, eliminate bottlenecks, and drive reliable on-time delivery from start to finish. You will implement and leverage a modern ERP system to deliver real-time insights into shop capability, enabling faster, smarter decisions.
You will own and influence key shop metrics such as On-Time Delivery, TAKT, and other performance indicators, using data to highlight risks, drive improvements, and help the team consistently hit and exceed its goals.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement ERP systems to drive On time delivery for our customers
- Utilize systems to release work to the shop floor based on machine capacity and material availability
- Maintain cell based schedules to appropriately prioritize each operation
- Communicate needs and changes of the schedule to peers and the business to complete parts on time
- Work cross functionally to problem solve production issues to maintain delivery schedules
- Continuously improve part flow and pull through the operation to meet customer demand
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience) + minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance
