Description:You will be the Mechanical and Tooling Inspector for the Inspection Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of mechanical components and tooling throughout the product lifecycle.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Mechanical and Tooling Inspector you will be responsible for performing comprehensive inspections of parts, assemblies, and tooling to guarantee they meet rigorous engineering standards.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical parts, assemblies, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Utilize precision measurement instruments and layout methods to verify compliance with specifications.
Document inspection results and generate non‑conformance reports as needed.
Support prototype and production development programs by ensuring quality standards.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.

Basic Qualifications:-High school degree or equivalent
-Applied knowledge of machine parts, tooling section or mechanical assembly inspection
-Experience reading and interpreting Engineering drawings
-Experience using precision measurement equipment
-Must be able to use computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
Desired Skills:-Strong interpersonal skills
-CMM experience
-Ability to work on team
-Ability to use precision measurement tools (ie: Calipers, micrometers, etc)
-Knowledge of inspection theory
-Must be able to effectively interact with Engineering, production and Corrective Action personnel

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
