Establish baseline factory metrics (e.g., scrap, rework, FPY), identify key drivers, forecast future demand, and highlight improvement opportunities.

Partner with Manufacturing Defect Prevention teams to align on top priorities using baseline data and forecasts to drive containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

Conduct process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to reduce process variation and improve performance.
-
Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC, using baseline metrics and projected demand.

Identify supplier escapes or issues and ensure proper containment and feedback to the Supplier Quality Management team.

Verify and validate implemented improvements to assess effectiveness.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study, and a minimum of ten (10) years prior relevant engineering experience or seven (7) years with an advanced degree

Relevant experience is manufacturing experience in one of the following processes (assembly, inspection, test)

Previous experience working in cross functional process improvement teams.

Experience in team or project management / leadership

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:

Strong familiarity with J-STD-001, ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9201, Six Sigma, Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) or Lean experience/tools, associated tools, and ASQ Certifications

Demonstrated knowledge of key process characteristics and ability to implement effective process control techniques.

Experience with industry technical standards, interpreting drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), consumable materials control, process disciplines and tool control

Previous experience to identify issues and baseline shifts quickly, performing DOE analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and initiating involvement of Process and Product Engineers to resolve.

Proven success managing professionals with engineering backgrounds, building, and leading high performing teams and achieving business goals and objectives.

Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively persuade and influence through positive communications with stakeholders, team members, suppliers, management

Experience communicating complex engineering issues to all levels of the organization in a professional, engaging, and conclusive manner.

Experience leading Systemic Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action activities.

Experience with SAP/PRISM or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Tool

Previous experience with circuit card assembly processes

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
