POSITION SUMMARY:
The Web Business Analyst acts as a strategic liaison between digital marketing, sales, and development teams. This role is responsible for defining, documenting, and prioritizing business and technical requirements for web initiatives, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of digital workflows, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements that drive measurable results.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with digital marketing, sales, and product stakeholders to understand business objectives, customer journeys, and web-driven growth initiatives.
- Lead requirements elicitation and documentation for web projects, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Define project scope, measurable success criteria, and prioritization in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and clear acceptance criteria.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring shared understanding throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with developers to clarify requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and validate solutions prior to release.
- Support testing strategy, validation, and user acceptance to ensure delivered solutions meet defined business outcomes.
- Partner in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and roadmap refinement to maintain alignment with evolving priorities.
- Analyze web performance, user behavior, and conversion data to identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation, process artifacts, and knowledge base resources to support operational continuity.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- 4–6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Web Business Analyst, or similar digital-focused role
- Proven experience partnering with digital marketing, sales, and product teams to support web initiatives
- Strong understanding of web technologies, CMS platforms, eCommerce systems, and digital workflows
- Experience translating business objectives into detailed functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating closely with development teams
- Demonstrated ability to define scope, prioritize initiatives, and align stakeholders across business and technical teams
- Strong analytical skills, with experience leveraging web analytics and performance data to drive optimization decisions
- AI-literate and adept at incorporating AI tools into requirements analysis, documentation, and solution evaluation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions and drive clarity
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience leveraging web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) to inform requirements and optimization initiatives
- Experience supporting SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and user experience (UX) improvements
- Exposure to CMS configuration and digital platform enhancements
- Experience working in multi-brand, multi-site, or enterprise digital environments
- Familiarity with API-driven integrations and Martech ecosystems

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
