Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Development Engineer with strong experience in PySpark, Databricks, and SQL to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate will work closely with analytics, data science, and business teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using PySpark.Develop and manage data workflows on Databricks (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Write efficient and complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Handle large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization
- Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tunin
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Document data pipelines, workflows, and technical processes
Employees at all levels are expected to:
- Strong hands-on experience with PySpark
- Good working knowledge of Databricks platform (Jobs, Notebooks, Clusters)
- Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, window functions, performance tuning)
- Experience with data warehouses and big data ecosystems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Understanding of data modeling and data engineering best practices
- Experience with version control tools like Git
Good to Have:
- Experience with Delta Lake
- Knowledge of Airflow / Azure Data Factory / other orchestration tools
- Exposure to Python scripting beyond PySpark
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
