Senior Accountant
KBR has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our APAC Corporate Finance team, based in Brisbane. This role offers long-term career development and the chance to gain exposure to a diverse range of projects across the Australian and broader Asian KBR business.
We are seeking a switched-on professional with 10+ years’ experience in a senior accounting role. With a strong technical accounting background, you will become an integral part of the finance team, supporting the continued growth and success of KBR in the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in providing accounting and financial support across the APAC business. Key responsibilities include:
As a senior team member, deliver a broad range of accounting services for the APAC business within KBR, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards.
Supporting month-end accounting processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, issue identification and resolution, and assisting with the preparation of management accounting reports.
Provide accounting support to our Joint Ventures, including the preparation of joint venture financial statements where required.
Assisting with financial planning activities, including assistance with the preparation of our detailed budgeting and forecasting updates.
Supporting external and internal audit processes by responding to audit queries.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of and adherence to KBR’s accounting, compliance, and internal control policies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong technical foundation and good experience in a senior accounting role. Key requirements include:
A degree qualification in Accounting or Finance.
Professional membership with CA or CPA
Minimum of 10 years’ relevant accounting experience, ideally within a medium to large corporate, professional services, or engineering/consulting environment.
Good technical accounting knowledge, including a sound understanding of relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements.
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, strong excel skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with a large ERP system
