Description:DescriptionYou will be the Industrial Engineering Associate Manager for Lockheed Martin's Missiles & Fire Control Industrial Engineering team.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Industrial Engineering Associate Manager you will be responsible for managing a team of industrial engineers in various activities aimed at improving manufacturing performance. This involves implementation of cost step-down strategies, span improvement, conducting capacity assessments, efficiency calculations, trend analysis, work standard measurements, production simulation & modeling, and production floor layout optimization. The selected candidate will be a balanced leader, with a strong technical background in data analytics and manufacturing or production experience, while also demonstrating soft skills for managing a team with a variety of experience levels.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Mentor, coach, and develop the shop floor industrial engineering team; identify skill gaps and create training plans.
- Lead time‑studies, work‑measurement, line balancing, and facility‑layout redesigns to improve flow and reduce waste.
- Facilitate regular capacity analyses for the site and for program‑specific requests, coordinating the team’s data collection, modeling, and reporting to ensure timely, accurate capacity forecasts.
- Lead continuous-improvement initiatives that reduce waste in HPU and span to increase overall site productivity.

Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment
- Experience working with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Experience leading or supervising Industrial/Manufacturing Engineers.
- Knowledge of Lockheed Martin manufacturing systems and processes.
- Experience in industrial engineering principles, including facility layout, capacity analysis, simulation modeling, and process optimization
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement tools; Green belt or higher certification
- Experience with implementing technical solutions (simulations, dashboards, robotics, automation, etc.) in manufacturing.
- Proven ability to balance technical expertise with effective leadership and soft skills to manage a diverse team.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
