You will be the Quality Engineer Asc for the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured, repaired, and procured products meet or exceed design and process requirements.
What You Will Be DoingAs a Quality Engineer Asc, you will support the execution and continuous improvement of quality processes across manufacturing and program operations. In this entry-level role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, compliance to requirements, and timely resolution of quality issues.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Supporting quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with engineering requirements, specifications, and Command Media (e.g., MPPs)
• Reviewing and analyzing nonconformances to assist with defect identification, containment, and documentation
• Participating in root cause and corrective action investigations using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone)
• Assisting with data collection, analysis, and reporting of quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements
• Supporting inspection and test activities, including verification of product conformance
• Assisting with audit preparation and execution (internal, customer, and regulatory)
• Ensuring adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements (AS9100 / ISO 9001)
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing and defect reduction strategies

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related discipline
• Demonstrated understanding of quality principles, including inspection, testing, and defect identification
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Basic knowledge of root cause and corrective action methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:• Exposure to nonconformance systems (MRB, discrepancy reporting, defect tracking tools)
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methods (SPC, Cp/Cpk, trend analysis)
• Experience supporting corrective/preventive action (CAPA/CAR) processes
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Kaizen)
• Understanding of circuit cards assembly, and wiring harness manufacturing

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
