About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an XD Senior Product Designer for Fargo, our AI-powered virtual assistant.
Using AI tools and technology, we design conversational experiences to improve financial lives and spark joy for our 30+ million customers. This role blends journey design, UI design, content curation, and prompt creation, working closely with product and tech partners to design GenAI experiences that feel thoughtful and human.
We all operate as empowered experts with strong design rationale, radical candor, plenty of fun, and an obsession for creating delightful, customer-first experiences.
In this role, you will:- Design and deliver customer experience solutions for (and using) generative AI
- Actively collaborate with Product and Technology partners to prompt, prototype, specify and test design solutions from concept to launch.
- Blend design and AI tools (ex: Figma, FigmaMake, CoPilot) to accelerate ideation, execution, and quality of design output
- Employ a broad array of user-centered design techniques to arrive at supportable and well-specified designs. Ex: customer experience brief, utterance analysis, market survey, wireframes, visual comps, prompting, content curation, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Collaborate with digital and business partners to curate source content for LLM grounding. Edit grounding and prompt documents for accuracy, style and approvals.
- Review and analyze high-profile or complex projects; collaborate on research to test theories and develop alternative solutions
- Self-organize to plan design tasks, set milestones, report on progress, track/resolve issues, and deliver on time. You may also have opportunity to lead projects and mentor other design specialists.
- Leverage and contribute to guidelines/standards to support a one-team approach. Ex: design system, Confluence resources
- Understand and balance business, user, and technical requirements; deliver value with regular attention to ROI and risk as an integrated part of design process.
Required Qualifications:- Experience working with AI prompts or AI-assisted design in real products, including testing, iteration, optimization and maintenance. We're looking for work shaped by real accuracy, quality, and risk considerations-not one-off demos or class projects.
- 4+ years of Online and Digital Product Design, Information Sciences, Graphic, and Visual Arts experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Hands-on experience designing UX and UI in Figma
Desired Qualifications:- Strong visual design skills showcasing your ability to solve for complex problems in a delightful way
- Understanding of AI technologies, vocab, opportunities and limitations to facilitate cross-functional partnership and tech-informed designs
