About The Role
As a CBRE Events Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a large team assigned to meetings, events & conference services across multiple sites.
This job is part of the Workplace Experience function. They are responsible for providing world-class customer service and creating a warm, concierge and hospitality-forward atmosphere to the clients and visitors of a designated building.
What You’ll Do
Lead and develop a high-performing events team through coaching, organizational change, and a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Foster a host mentality by creating a welcoming, service-oriented culture that prioritizes client happiness and seamless event execution.
Guide the creation, implementation and maintenance of high-touch, host-like, concierge-forward events management program.
Oversee the full lifecycle of corporate-level events, including client-facing, employee-facing, and executive meetings—managing logistics such as security, facilities, catering, IT, and AV coordination.
Ensure full compliance with all policies, procedures and training, including maintaining up-to-date training records.
Support the Regional Lead by developing and implementing critical initiatives, cross-functional goals, and multi-site alignment. Translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
Serve as a key liaison between clients, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and alignment on event goals and results.
Supervise, train, and develop staff; conduct performance evaluations and lead recruitment efforts.
Create a department budget. Approve purchase orders for event supplies as requested by the team.
Implement improvements for event success, including making improvements to processes, procedures, and systems. Review reports to measure efficiency and present findings to senior-level management.
Confirm operations and vendors are aligned with location requirements.
Create and supervise department SLAs, KPIs, and benchmarks. Supervise related performance data, determine solutions for gaps, and implement efficiencies.
What You’ll Need
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset
- As a Supervisor / Manager:
- While adhering to all HSE requirements established for CBRE employees, supervisors and managers are required to:
- Provide sufficient distraction free time for employees to complete all required HSE training & support the HSE training program implicitly
- Investigate and resolve (if possible) all reported unsafe conditions / acts and communicate results back to the affected stakeholders
- Support stop work authority when it is exercised in good faith
- Communicate any / all potential workplace hazards and workplace procedures.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Meetings & Events Manager position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Meetings & Events position is $170,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
