We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as an Operations Analyst in Lebanon, IN.

Job Summary:
- This Operations Analyst is part of our Digital Solutions & Operational Analytics team. The incumbent plays a critical role in supporting logistics, warehouse, and operations planning through advanced data analysis, digital tooling, and process automation. This position combines traditional logistics planning responsibilities with ownership of digital solutions, analytics, automation, and cross-functional operational support.
- The role requires a high degree of independence, strong time management, and deep technical capability to design, maintain, and continuously improve reporting, applications, and automated workflows that directly support material flow, operational execution, and decision-making. The analyst works closely with Logistics, Operations, Process, and IT partners to ensure systems, data, and tools enable efficient and reliable execution across the supply chain.

- This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
- This role requires up to 25% travel between Lafayette IN and Lebanon IN
- Occasional off-hours support for critical operational incidents
What You Will Do:
Logistics Planning & Operational Execution
- Serve as an integral part of the logistics and material planning process supporting warehouse and distribution operations.
- Develop, maintain, and execute logistics planning activities that support inbound and outbound material flows.
- Run the PCOM Macro daily, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with operational priorities.
- Build and distribute the Picks Before Put Away report on a scheduled basis (weekly, every Monday).
- Support planning activities related to material availability, throughput, and execution risk.
- Communicate critical planning and execution information to internal stakeholders and partner teams.
Digital Tools, Reporting & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support logistics planning, operational performance, and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain Power Apps used for data capture, workflow execution, and operational tracking.
- Build and manage Power Automate flows to automate manual processes and reduce repetitive work.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain complex Excel macros supporting planning, analysis, and operational reporting.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual or error-prone processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain new digital tools aligned with business needs.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Continuously evaluate existing logistics and operational processes to identify efficiency, accuracy, and scalability improvements.
- Partner with Process, Operations, and Logistics teams to improve workflows through data and automation.
- Document tools, processes, and solutions to ensure sustainability and knowledge transfer.
- Proactively recommend enhancements based on operational needs and evolving system capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Incident Support
- Work independently while collaborating with multiple teams inside and outside of Caterpillar to resolve operational and technical issues.
- Provide direct support during P1/P2 incident bridge calls or chats related to logistics or system disruptions.
- Support IT teams as needed by assisting with troubleshooting data, system, or application issues.
- Act as a liaison between operations, process teams, and IT when addressing system or reporting challenges.
User Enablement & Knowledge Sharing
- Coach and support new and existing users on building and maintaining Power Apps, Power BI reports, and related tools.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for analytics, automation, and digital solutions within logistics operations.
- Promote best practices for data governance, automation, and tool usage.
SharePoint & Access Administration
- Maintain and administer SharePoint sites for the Process Team and Lafayette Operations Group.
- Manage site structure, content, permissions, and version control.
- Maintain and manage functional and distribution email groups.
- Process and grant access requests for SharePoint, Power BI reports, and Power Apps, ensuring appropriate access control and compliance.

- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environment
- Experience with or strong working knowledge of logistics, material control, inventory control, or manufacturing operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience automating business processes or developing digital tools
- Experience supporting incident resolution or operational disruptions
- Familiarity with Caterpillar systems and logistics processes

Summary Pay Range:
$28.70 - $43.10
