THE WORK• Develops, plans and schedules cost estimates in support of proposals.
• Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements including components, parts, or entire complex instrument such as a complex electronic system, in the development of cost estimates in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
• Works from preliminary or final drawings and from partial or complete engineering information.
• May estimate labor costs, type of tools required and cost of such tools.
• May recommend whether component parts would be manufactured or purchased.
• May coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, targeting and performance elements from functional departments.
• Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models/reports to support proposal efforts.
• Coordinates activities and participates in fact‑finding meetings with Government agencies such as DCAA & DCMA, as required.
• Participates in should‑cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
• Participates in determining objectives of assignment.
• Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
• Demonstrates a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards relative to cost estimation.
• May exert influence on the overall objectives of the cost estimate.

Basic Qualifications:• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
• Experience with proposals, material estimating, or supply chain experience

Desired Skills:• Experience with LMP2P module
• Experience supporting USG proposals
• Knowledge of RMS estimating and pricing policies
• Knowledge of FAR requirements for material estimating

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $64,725 - $139,471.
