Vulnerability Remediation Coordinator
About Your Role
As a Vulnerability Remediation Coordinator, you will focus on bridging the gap between identifying security weaknesses and implementing the necessary fixes. You will identify, prioritize, and coordinate the patching or mitigation of vulnerabilities across the IT organization. As a liaison between security teams, IT staff, and developers, you will ensure timely remediation of risks and verify the effectiveness of security controls to minimize security risks, reduce the attack surface, and improve the organization's security posture.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate with IT system administrators, network engineers, and developers to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed within established SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
- Analyze scan reports from tools like Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7 and triage vulnerabilities based on severity, exploitability, and business risk
- Maintain a backlog of vulnerabilities, monitor progress, and produce reports or dashboards for management regarding the status of remediation, risk reduction, and compliance
- Create KPIs and deliver reports to senior leadership on vulnerability metrics, risk posture, and compliance
- Handle requests for risk acceptance or exceptions, documenting and monitoring risks that cannot be immediately remediated
- Identify and improve the processes around the vulnerability management program to increase efficiency
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 5+ years in information security, vulnerability management, security operations, or a related role
- 4+ years of experience with common vulnerabilities (CVEs) with a strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux), network protocols, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- 3+ years of experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7) and ITSM ticketing tools like ServiceNow
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prior experience working with cross-functional teams and translating technical risks into business impact for stakeholders
How you’ll work:
- Fiserv emphasizes in-person collaboration to help you grow your career while shaping the future of fintech, this role is on-site Monday through Friday
- This role may require flexibility to work overtime that includes nights and weekends
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment
Travel:
- Approximately 5% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected

Salary Range
$82,000.00 - $141,600.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, Rhode Island and Washington. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
This position is not eligible for an annual incentive opportunity and is also not eligible to earn commissions.
