APS-3: Supply Technician
Program Summary
KBR maintains and manages Army Prepositioned Stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site which encompasses all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed in Goose Creek, SC in support of the Army’s power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets are configured and maintained at optimal readiness for possible Dept. of The U.S. Army emergency equipment issuance. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.
Job Summary
The Operations Supply Tech is a Non-exempt employee with a direct reporting relationship to the Operations Supervisor in the Operations Department of the APS-3 Program. Employees in this position will be expected to have subject matter expertise in the automated systems provided by the Army to support the APS-3 program, along with expert knowledge of U.S. Army, and program policies and procedures. Employees in this position are expected to work autonomously with minimal supervision and can be expected to have set deliverables to management and the customer
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide information to support the development of the APS-3 mission and the execution to include the Program Managers’ intent, concept of operations, and tasks to subordinate sections (Maint, CTASL, Supply Support Activity, Logistics, and Presidential Directorate – PD).
Coordinate between all departments.
Identify potential shortfalls and provide sustaining resolutions.
Monitor the project operations readiness with equipment status report (ESR)
Assist with adapting and enabling all departments to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly.
Provide training to others when necessary.
Provide project updates to management, program management and the USG on a routine basis.
Perform customer service for all GCSS-A related activities in accordance with the GCSS-A End User Manual (EUM)
Generate GCSS-A Reports as required.
Perform work utilizing GCSS-Army
Monitor Caretaker/COSIS equipment
Technical Research for sections/departments.
Monitor density list for all equipment through phase 1-3.
Coordinates with supporting SSAs for requisition and turn in action to include CTASL/SSL/Excess.
Requestion discrepancy research.
Manage all long lead parts. Coordinate for expediting.
Monitor and control ZOAREP/ORIL (recoverable) for adherence to Army standards.
Assist with establishing and maintaining stock records and other documents such as inventory, materiel control, accounting, and supply reports.
Support ICODEs process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport
Must be able to obtain & maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and local base access
Must be capable of getting a minimum of a SECRET security clearance.
US Citizen
Working knowledge of GCSS-Army and strong computer skills
Highly proficient with Microsoft office suite, particularly MS-Project, MS-Excel, MS-Word, and MS-Power BI Data extraction, manipulation, analysis SQL (Structured Query Language) experience
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand - between 2 to 3 hours per day.
Must be able to walk - between 4 to 5 hours per day.
Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs. – 50 lbs. periodically.
Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically.
Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Prior experience with Operations in U.S. military service or working with U.S. Army staff & DOD Civilians is a plus.
6 years minimum in production control or related on the APS-3, 4, or 5 programs. Experience in GCSS-Army, GATES, and LOGSA platforms such as MMIS, AESIP, and FEDMALL
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products
Problem solving skills
Ability to work overtime as required by production schedule
Working knowledge of Army unit structure i.e. MTOEs, authorizations, requirements, equipment readiness
Lean Six Sigma training/certification is a plus
Project management: PMI (Project Management Institute) certificates in Project Management and/or Scheduling is a plus
Meeting requirements to deploy to include medical readiness and training is a plus
Secret clearance is a plus
Bachelor's degree in related field or 5 years of applicable specialized U.S. military or U.S. military contracting experience can be used in lieu of formal post high school education on a one-to-one basis.

For hourly employees, the premium overtime is paid at time and a half.
