Role Definition
US Drivetrain is seeking an EHS Specialist to support the production facilities in East Peoria Transmissions and Mossville Electric Drive. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety in a production environment, supporting facility operations, legal, compliance, EPA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies. Additionally, this position manages Ergonomics, Environmental, Incident investigation, Emergency Response Planning and Training for the facility.
What you will do
Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.

Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Top candidates will have
Ability to perform complex assignments
Manufacturing experience
Hazardous waste, remediation, and environmental management experience
Industrial Hygiene and hazardous material management experience
Professional certification (CHMM, PE, CIH, or CSP)

This position will close on 4/24/2026 at 11:59 pm.
This position will be located onsite 5 days a week in East Peoria, IL (Building KK).
Relocation (domestic) assistance is available for this position.

This position may require less than 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
