Boeing Canada Winnipeg is looking for an Experienced Quality Systems Specialist that will report to the Quality Manager working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba branch.
The Quality Systems Specialist oversees product and process quality ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained. The position requires working in a team environment with various other support organizations aligned to a common goal of providing safe and compliant products and services on time.
The selected candidate must be able to work on the Day or Evening shift assigned.
Position Responsibilities:
- Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
- Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations
- Reviews and approves planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware product/processes
- Assists in review and preparation of quality assurance plans and first article inspection plans for products
- Maintains Quality directives policies processes procedures and metrics to assure program contract customer regulatory requirements international standards and working agreements are deployed using established procedures
- Assists system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards configuration assurance related business regulatory and customer requirements
- Collects and verifies data to support the identification of root cause routine problems and provides ideas and concepts for corrective action development
- Works under general supervision
- Provide technical support to the quality inspectors
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience or knowledge of Quality Management System
- Experience/knowledge of production processes within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design, GD&T)
- Knowledge of data systems and configuration management principles and processes
- Ability to work day or evening shift as assigned
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- Experience and knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action on non-conformances
- Knowledge of the quality system and compliance regulations (e.g., International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS91001))
- Knowledge of statistical analysis concepts
- Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various operations and engineering departments
- Aerospace or Aviation experience
- Post-secondary Education

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
