We are looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager who will provide leadership for manufacturing activities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations aligned with RTX core values and leadership behaviors. This role has direct accountability for production execution while flexibly leading a workforce that may include hourly employees, frontline supervisors, and mid-level professionals.
The manager serves as a key integrator across Materials, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance, leading through influence as well as direct authority. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong people leadership, and the ability to scale leadership approach based on team capability and operational complexity.

What You Will Do

Lead daily TIER I, II and III meetings.

Ensure daily, monthly and annual cell metrics are accomplished.

Execute real time problem resolution to mitigate and minimize flow disruptions

Manage production planners for the cell
-
Manage a team of cell leaders to ensure all quality related items are complete and documented.

Direct cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

Direct scheduling to meet production schedules.
-
Set the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to optimize productivity.
-
Lead materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.

Manage multiple cells performance and productivity to maximize productivity.

Oversee production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management
-
Perform professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines.

Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline.

Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
-
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.

Experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
-
Experience working in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, or similar high-reliability sectors.

Experience managing production performance metrics and driving operational improvements.
Qualifications We Prefer
-
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or propulsion systems.

Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).

Experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.

Experience supporting safety and compliance programs within a manufacturing environment.

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
