Job Description
NBCUniversal is dedicated to fostering a culture grounded in principles of mutual respect. The Fair Employment group is part of the Labor & Employment Department and is comprised of three verticals (Fair Employment Practices & Policies, Fair Employment Training, and Positive Employee Relations), serving as a key, central point of contact to address concerns raised by employees, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; facilitating Respect in the Workplace training; and conducting employee roundtables.
The Manager, Fair Employment Practices role will be responsible for conducting internal investigations of employment-related complaints. This role will also deliver Respect in the Workplace training and facilitate employee roundtables. The Manager, Fair Employment Practices will report to the Senior Director, Fair Employment Practices in Los Angeles, but also supports the Fair Employment Training and Positive Employee Relations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate or oversee highly-sensitive and/or complex claims including allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, complaints about manager(s), and/or work environment, in partnership with the internal Employment Law team
- Prepare investigative documents, record cases in case management system, and communicate findings to key stakeholders
- Partner with the internal team to identify trends and make recommendations for training or other proactive measures
- Partner with the Fair Employment Training team as a facilitator for NBCUniversal’s harassment-prevention training (Respect in the Workplace), and other modules as assigned, by leading interactive and impactful sessions for corporate and production populations
- Design, plan, and facilitate employee feedback sessions leveraging a team of facilitators, present findings to leadership teams, and partner with the business on developing and communicating an appropriate action plan
- Promote a positive workplace culture by establishing trust, credibility and maintaining integrity
- Synthesize feedback across businesses using technology and combined with other data insights, develop enterprise-wide insights
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Significant experience in Employee Relations or Human Resources
- 3+ years as an employment lawyer, including substantial experience delivering training and conducting investigations.
- Prior in-house experience is helpful but not required.

This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the Universal City, CA office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 (bonus eligible).
