Job Summary:
We are seeking Delivery Drivers. A Delivery Driver will be responsible for loading, unload, and setting up furniture, bedding and appliances. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle (26 foot box truck) to transport and assemble product to designated locations
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment such as by two wheeled dolly, by hand, or shoulder dolly
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders before leaving the warehouse
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading products
- Familiarity with local roads, routes, and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize deliveries effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order verification and documentation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Commercial driving experience is preferred but not required
