The Boeing Company is looking for a Composite Material and Process (M&P) Strategy & Integration Leader to join our Composites, Materials, & Structures (CMS) team with locations in Seattle, WA, Charleston, SC, St Louis, MO, and Huntington Beach, CA. This position will be based in either Seattle, WA and or Charleston, SC. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and coordinate the CMS M&P teams across Seattle, Charleston, and St. Louis to ensure alignment with business unit priorities. A key focus will be partnering closely with the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Product Development (PD) team to understand and address their evolving needs. This position requires collaboration across multiple locations—including Tukwila, Charleston, Mukilteo, Everett, St. Louis, Huntington Beach, and others—to build strong relationships and maintain alignment on priorities and schedules.
As the Composite M&P Strategy & Integration Leader, you will leverage your deep expertise in composite materials and processes to work closely with structures and production system teams. Your goal will be to deliver solutions that meet performance, producibility, cost, and rate targets with emphasis on BCA PD. You will collaborate with Technical Fellowship and technical leaders to shape composite M&P strategy and roadmaps, and lead the execution of the composite M&P portfolio to achieve business objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction for composite material and process development, including managing the R&D portfolio aligned with near- and long-term needs across BCA, BDS, and BGS.
- Integrate composite M&P efforts across CMS teams located in Seattle, Charleston, St. Louis, and Huntington Beach.
- Collaborate with BCA Product Development to develop materials, processes, and specifications for future programs.
- Support BCA production programs on composite material and process issues affecting current manufacturing.
- Lead and manage a team of ~10 individual contributors based in Seattle.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional and cross-organizational relationships to ensure alignment on priorities and timing.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 3+ years of management experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with composite materials and processes.
- Minimum 5 years of program management experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of management experience.
- 7+ years of composite materials and processes experience.
- Proven experience leading composite M&P strategy and portfolio management.
- Strong collaboration experience with Design, Structures, and Production Engineering teams.
- Experience managing work statement of large technical teams across multiple locations.
- Experience shaping and executing Contract R&D (CRAD) programs.
- Active security clearance is a plus.
Travel:
Up to 40% travel expected, especially if based in Charleston, to manage team in Seattle and collaborate closely with BCA Product Development

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $170,900 - $246,100
