The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Identity and Access Management Traditional Infrastructure Lead, to join the team in Seattle, WA, Hazelwood, MO, North Charleston, SC, Ridley Park, PA, Mesa, AZ or Seal Beach, CA.

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Traditional Infrastructure Specialist to support and advance the infrastructure foundation underpinning our Identity and Access Management (IAM) services. This role provides technical leadership across Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms, ensuring that our server environments are secure, resilient, compliant, and positioned for modernization. This role requires deep hands-on expertise, strong architectural instincts, and the ability to guide long term transformation of legacy infrastructure. An ideal candidate brings deep experience in infrastructure lifecycle management and a forward-looking mindset that helps us reduce technical debt, strengthen compliance, and evaluate opportunities for cloud adoption.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversee provisioning, configuration, and ongoing management of physical servers and virtual machines supporting IAM services
Maintain operational stability across compute, storage, and network integrations
Ensure configuration baselines, access control policies, and security standards are consistently implemented and measured
Lead lifecycle management activities, including patching, upgrades, and hardware refresh planning
Automate deployment, patching, and configuration workflows to reduce manual effort and operational risk
Develop and maintain scripts, orchestration routines, and infrastructure as code patterns
Establish repeatable processes that improve reliability and accelerate delivery of infrastructure services
Implement and maintain compliance controls aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements
Develop, document, and test disaster recovery plans that meet defined RTO/RPO objectives
Continuously assess technical debt and drive remediation strategies
Ensure IAM related infrastructure meets security hardening and audit expectations
Serve as the primary technical lead for traditional infrastructure supporting IAM
Mentor team members and guide best practices across server platforms
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective action planning
Collaborate with IAM, security, networking, and application teams to ensure cohesive service delivery
Infrastructure becomes more automated, resilient, and compliant
Disaster recovery plans are documented, tested, and aligned with RTO/RPO objectives
Technical debt is reduced and modernization efforts are clearly defined and executed
IAM services operate on a stable, secure, and well-maintained infrastructure foundation
Clear modernization roadmap and informed recommendations on cloud adoption
Strong alignment between IAM infrastructure and organizational security goals
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years’ experience working with technical infrastructure configurations such as servers, databases, networks, development environments, services and software
Experience in Operating Systems: Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, and Oracle Enterprise Linux
Experience with on-premises systems, including servers, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and basic data center management
Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine tasks, data flows between systems, and improve system reliability
Experience with networking, storage systems, and compute integrations
Experience leading technical initiatives and drive modernization efforts
Experience in automated provisioning and configuring of software-defined infrastructure and designing for continuous deployment and continuous operations
Experience with Access Control Policies and practices
Experience driving modernization and improving operational maturity
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
Experience implementing compliance frameworks, configuration baselines, and security controls
Experience supporting IAM platforms or security sensitive infrastructure
Familiarity with identity protocols such as LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, and OAuth
Proven success in environments undergoing modernization or cloud transformation
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term modernization with day-to-day operational needs
Strong communicator who can collaborate across security, architecture, and operations teams
Comfortable leading initiatives that span multiple technologies and disciplines
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $142,800 – $207,000
