We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.
Caterpillar is looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead U.S. recruiting for our Power & Energy segment, supporting the Oil & Gas, Electric Power, and Electrification organizations across North America.
This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, workforce strategy, and execution. You’ll lead a diverse Talent Acquisition team that includes Talent Acquisition Supervisors, Talent Acquisition Partners, Coordinators, and Sourcers, while partnering closely with HR and business leaders to deliver hiring results that directly support growth and innovation across the segment. This is an opportunity to shape the talent strategies behind some of the most critical energy solutions in the world, while developing teams and leaders who will build the future.
What You Will Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition professionals, building strong succession pipelines and consistent recruiting excellence.
- Own and execute U.S. talent acquisition strategies for the multiple divisions within the Power & Energy segment, aligning hiring plans with business growth, workforce planning, and critical capability needs.
- Act as a strategic talent advisor to HR Business Partners and senior business leaders, providing market intelligence, labor insights, and hiring recommendations.
- Drive best‑in‑class pipelining, passive sourcing, and candidate activation strategies for hard‑to‑fill and highly specialized roles, leveraging advanced sourcing techniques, digital tools, and external networks.
- Champion modern recruiting practices and technology‑enabled workflows, including ATS optimization, CRM usage, automation, and assessment strategies to improve speed, quality, and candidate experience.
- Utilize recruiting data, dashboards, and key metrics to manage performance, identify trends, and continuously improve outcomes for the talent acquisition function in Power & Energy.
- Ensure a consistent and high‑quality candidate and hiring manager experience across the end‑to‑end recruiting lifecycle.
- Partner closely with Global TA, HR Operations, and business teams to align regional execution with enterprise TA strategy and governance.
What You Bring
- Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing recruiting teams in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to partner credibly with senior leaders and deliver results through trust and collaboration.
- Deep expertise in pipelining, passive sourcing, and candidate engagement, particularly for engineering, technical, or energy‑related talent markets.
- Experience supporting large‑scale, high‑impact hiring initiatives across multiple functions or divisions.
- Strong command of recruiting analytics, metrics, and workforce data to inform decision‑making and measure success.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage recruiting technology (ATS, CRM, sourcing tools, automation, reporting) to drive process improvement and scalability.
