The Manager of Workplace Violence and Threat Management is responsible for leading the strategic and operational programs that identify, assess, and mitigate threats impacting employees, facilities, and business operations. This role develops and oversees a comprehensive workplace violence prevention framework; manages threat assessment processes; partners closely with HR, Legal, Employee Relations, and leadership; and ensures the organization meets legal, regulatory, and industry best‑practice standards. The leader in this role will bring strong expertise in behavioral threat assessment, crisis management, and employee safety.
This is a remote position in the United States
What YOU will do:

Manage and execute on the company’s Workplace Violence Prevention and Threat Management program, including policies, standards, protocols, and reporting tools.

Serve as the primary point of contact for threat assessments, including evaluating concerning behaviors, making risk determinations, and recommending mitigation strategies.

Partner with HR, Legal, Security Operations, and business leaders on high-risk employee situations, terminations, facility-based incidents, and safety concerns.

Lead or support investigations related to threats, harassment, intimidation, or other behaviors of concern.

Coordinate with external agencies (law enforcement, mental health professionals, security consultants) as appropriate for case management.

Conduct training and awareness programs for leaders and employees on workplace violence prevention, threat reporting, and de-escalation strategies.

Maintain documentation, dashboards, metrics, and reporting structures for threat cases and program effectiveness.

Perform ongoing reviews of security controls, physical security enhancements, and procedures related to employee safety.

Stay current on legal and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging threats; advise leadership on program improvements.

Support crisis response planning and serve as a subject matter expert during incidents involving threats or violence.
Qualifications YOU Must Have:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

5–8+ years of experience in workplace violence prevention, corporate security, behavioral threat assessment, law enforcement, or a related domain.

Demonstrated experience conducting threat assessments and managing complex, sensitive cases.

Professional certifications strongly preferred (e.g., ATAP membership, CTM, Certified Threat Manager, CPP, PCI, or similar).

Strong knowledge of behavioral threat assessment methodologies and workplace violence prevention best practices.

Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive situations.

Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across HR, Legal, Compliance, and business leadership.

Ability to remain calm, analytical, and solutions-focused during high-stress situations.
-
Ability to travel 25%, must have a passport.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
