None/Not RequiredJoin Collins Aerospace as an Engineering Services Analyst to support the Engineering function under the Power and Controls organization. In this role you will work, collaboratively, with other Engineering disciplines, Programs, Production, Quality and Supply Chain to develop an integrated execution plan and satisfy customer requirements across applicable operating conditions.
This position will be to work with Change Request of the REACH project. What is REACH? REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) is the elimination of materials of concern (MOC) from our products. The European Union (EU) announced the prohibition of MOC chemicals by 2024. This impacts hundreds of our products. To become compliant, Engineering Changes (EC) are required, effectively adding REACH compliant processes/coatings to the drawing.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What You Will Do:
-
Work with multiple type of documents (New Release, Drawing Updates, Deviation, Waivers, Etc.)
-
Work collaboratively with other Engineering disciplines (Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Electrical), Programs, Production, Quality and Supply Chain to develop an integrated execution plan to satisfy customer requirements across applicable operating conditions.

Evaluate/interpret all engineering inputs for proper classification, adherence to drafting and engineering standards, product structure impact and interrelationship of changes to other Collins products.

Work closely with the Integrated Product Teams (IPT) on inputs for proper classification, adherence to drafting and engineering standards on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACh) and other engineering initiatives.

Arbitrate the engineering change approval process to ensure reduced cycle time while obtaining unanimous consensus utilizing resources of various functional departments to resolve issues.

Evaluate daily inputs to ensure compliance to applicable procedures, regulatory & customer requirements, and interrelationship of change impact with other product lines and business units.

Provide direction for originators, affected departments and management to resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure proper engineering intent is realized without jeopardizing contract compliance.

Sequence multiple engineering changes into iterative product structures to ensure proper production incorporation without hardware delays or causing shipping stoppages.

Process change-requests in the PLM system, this includes i.e. analyzing product documentation for consistency of information, assessing interchangeability, routing for approval, auditing.

Support internal & external meetings to share status, metrics, technical information, gather concurrence on changes, etc.

Maintain logs to ensure work is performed in a timely manner and by priority.

Support audits and resulting corrective actions.

Work with transferring technical data following U.S. Regulations: Export Administration Regulation (EAR), & International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR).

Work autonomously with limited oversight from manager.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 2 years or less of prior relevant experience.

Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point and Excel
-
Technical writing experience
-
Effective communication and presentation skills in English (verbal and written).

Experience with engineering change process

Experience reading and understanding technical processes

Understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing Process and Practice

Experience working with the shared support of engineering, operations, records and drafting.

Interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications

Experience/knowledge in SAP, TEAMCENTER, PLM, Configuration Management / Data Management, SharePoint
