Perform systems level operation and monitoring of ROTHR transmitter site equipment. Performs organizational, preventative, and intermediate level maintenance on ROTHR transmitter equipment, HP Server’s, HP workstations and VAX/VMS Computers and peripherals as necessary. This equipment consists of, but is not limited to, Solid-State High-Powered-Amplifiers (HPA), Power-Amplifier Power-Supplies (PAPS), Phased Array Antennae (Log Periodic HF), Digital Beam-formers and Exciters, RF Hardware, Digital Hardware, Microprocessor based controllers, Minicomputers, Microcomputers, and peripheral equipment.

Provides technical guidance and tasking to lower-level technician and reviewed work for compliance with accepted practices. Work typically requires comprehensive technical knowledge to resolve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence in selecting and using the appropriate resources and test equipment. Ensure workorders are open on all Preventative and corrective maintenance are completed.

Additionally, perform all levels of maintenance beyond capabilities of ROTHR Transmit Site Electronics Technician, Maintenance II and brief oncoming shift on maintenance and system status, coordinates sub-system status and troubleshooting with Lead Technician and ROTHR Operations Control Center. Performs all other related duties including array maintenance as assigned and desired.
Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires HS diploma(or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Must have five years of related experience in electronic maintenance and troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair of large military radar installations or equivalent surveillance radar equipment.

Must have three years of ROTHR Transmit experience with the ability to use test equipment and systematic procedures to troubleshoot, overhaul, fault isolation, and repair major electronic systems comprised of amplifiers and transmitters functions.

Must have a clean motor vehicle driving record to obtain authorization to drive company vehicles.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security
clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens
are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer

At least five years of technician experience in assembly, overhaul, repair, modification, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communications, radar or digital electronics systems of the same complexity and magnitude as ROTHR.

Five years of specific OTH Transmitter technology.

Previous or current security clearance.
